Agent skills
Clawnify ships Agent Skills — self-contained SKILL.md files that teach an AI coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenClaw, Aider) how to work with the platform: the canonical app stack, the deploy workflow, the CLI.
Installing them into a project means your agent gets the patterns right on the first try instead of guessing.
Available skills
| Skill | What it teaches |
|---|---|
build-a-clawnify-app | Author a Clawnify app end-to-end — the Hono + React + @hono/zod-openapi + @clawnify/db stack, schema.ts/schema.sql kept in sync, OpenAPI-generating routes, identity via user()/orgId()/caller(), connections, and design rules. |
use-the-clawnify-cli | Drive the clawnify CLI — authenticate, scaffold, run locally, deploy, link projects, manage orgs, and inspect deployed apps. |
Install with the Clawnify CLI (recommended)
The skills ship bundled inside the CLI — version-pinned, no network fetch:
clawnify skills add build-a-clawnify-app # one skill
clawnify skills add --all # everything
clawnify skills list # see what's bundled
clawnify skills remove <name> # uninstall
Skills are written into every agent directory detected in the current project (.claude/skills/, .cursor/rules/, .openclaw/skills/, .codex/, Aider conventions). Target one agent explicitly with --agent claude|cursor|openclaw|codex|aider.
Or install everything agent-related at once
clawnify ai-files install
This writes the always-on Clawnify rules block into each detected agent’s rules file, installs the bundled skills, and wires the Clawnify MCP server into .mcp.json — one command to make a project agent-ready. clawnify init runs it automatically after scaffolding (opt out with --no-ai-files).
After upgrading the CLI, re-run clawnify skills add --all (or ai-files install) to refresh installed skills in place.
Install with npx skills
No Clawnify CLI required — any agent that supports the Agent Skills convention can pull them straight from the public repo:
# See what's available
npx skills add https://github.com/clawnify/skills --list
# Install one
npx skills add https://github.com/clawnify/skills --skill build-a-clawnify-app
Both channels install the same SKILL.md content — the CLI just pins it to your installed version.
